Project Description:

The applicant proposes to construct 619 feet of stone revetment along shoreline embankment; and construct a pier, ramp and five finger floats to accommodate boats. Portions of the stone revetment will be placed seaward of the high water line thereby filling areas of tidal wetlands. The project site is located at the seaward end of Bowmans Point Road (aka Orchard Beach Blvd.) in the Village of Manorhaven, Nassau County.

Project Description:

The applicant proposes to remove and replace in-place 85 linear feet of existing functional bulkhead and to expand an existing boat slip by removing 20 linear feet of bulkhead, excavating a 5' x 20' area, and constructing 25' linear feet of new bulkhead. Ten linear feet of new bulkhead is also proposed to be constructed to close an existing 10' x 10' boatslip. The applicant proposes to dredge the area up to 10 feet seaward of the bulkhead to a maximum depth of 4' at mean low water. The resultant 49 cubic yards of dredged and excavated material is proposed to be placed on-site as backfill. A walkway is proposed to be constructed along the bulkhead. The proposed project is located at 69 Annuskemunnica Road in the Village of Babyon in Suffolk County, SCTM# 0102-019-02-30 &31.

The applicant proposes construction of a new single family dwelling which will be located 26 linear feet from NYSDEC regulated Freshwater Wetland SA-9. The project also includes a deck, pervious driveway, wall and septic system which are all within the regulated adjacent area. Grading is proposed 36 linear feet from the wetland and clearing of vegetation is proposed to within 18 linear feet of the wetland.
