Negative Declaration

Steuben County - The Village of Bath as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Steuben County Bank 1833 Building Restoration Project will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the rehabilitation of an important building in Bath for mixed use with 3,500 square feet of commercial space on the first floor, 6,500 square feet residential space on the second and third floors, and 3,900 square feet of climate controlled storage in the basement. The project is located on Pulteney Square in the Liberty Street Historical District in the Village of Bath, New York.

Notice of Acceptance of Draft EIS and Public Hearing

Steuben County - The Steuben County Industrial Development Agency (SCIDA), as lead agency, has accepted a Draft Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Howard Wind, LLC Two Turbine Project. The Draft EIS is available from the contact listed below and on line at: http://www.howardwind.com/.

The action involves the siting of a wind power generation project consisting of two (2) wind turbines, each with a generating capacity of 2.05 megawatts. The project is located on a 39 acre parcel of land south of Spencer Hill Road and east of South Woods Road in the Town of Howard, New York.

Monroe County - The County of Monroe, as lead agency, has accepted a Final Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Mill Seat Landfill - Soil Borrow Area. A hard copy of the Final SEIS is available at the following locations:

The action involves a proposal by Monroe County to construct and operate two (2) soil borrow areas of approximately twenty (20) acres and forty two (42) acres in size, which will provide on-site soils for operation of the currently permitted Mill Seat Landfill, and would include related facilities such as roads, berms and stormwater control measures. The two (2) soil borrow areas and related facilities will be located on approximately sixty two (62) acres located just south of and adjacent to the Mill Seat Landfill footprint. A modification to the existing 6 NYCRR Part 360, Solid Waste Management Permit for the Mill Seat Landfill will be required from the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYS DEC) in order to implement this project.

The project is located at 303 Brew Road in the Town of Riga, New York.
