Project Title: New York RSA No. 2 Cellular Partnership d/b/a Verizon Wireless

Location: Ski Hut Road (a/k/a Crow Hill) in the Town of Indian Lake, New York.

Project Description: The action involves replacement of an existing 90 foot tall guyed tower (plus a 15 foot municipal antenna for a total height of 105 feet) with a new 90 foot tall guyed tower (plus the 15 foot antenna), installation of a 12 panel antenna array at a centerline height of 60 feet, construction of a 12 foot by 30 foot equipment shelter, and construction of a 104 ± foot long driveway extension. The tower width will increase slightly from 18 ± inches to 24-36 ± inches. The tower, guy wires, and equipment shelter will be within a 140 foot by 150 foot area that is excluded from a prior Park Land Grant. Access to the tower will be from Tower Hill Road via an existing access road constructed by the Town for their water main, plus a 104 ± foot driveway extension across a 100 foot by 115 foot area that was similarly excluded from the prior Park Land Grant. No concealment structures are proposed.

Project Title: Eradication of Asian Clams in Lake George

Location: Village of Lake George, New York, within southwesterly most corner of the lake and (approximately) from tax parcel 251.14-3-47 to the south to tax parcel 251.11-2-2 to the north.

Project Description: This notice is being sent to advise the general public that the Adirondack Park Agency has issued an amended permit for the above reference project. APA has amended APA Permit 2011-43 (issued 4/1/11) to allow the installation of benthic barriers over an additional 3 ± acre area and in waters three feet deep or greater. The barriers will be in addition to the 3.25 acres approved by APA Permit 2011-43 and generally within the treatment area previously authorized for suction-dredging. Suction-dredging which was previously authorized to occur in the spring is now proposed to occur over a smaller area and after Labor Day. Additional benthic barriers are also proposed to be installed after Labor Day to eradicate satellite Asian clam populations. The activities will occur in the Village of Lake George, within southwesterly most corner of the lake and (approximately) from tax parcel 251.14-3-47 to the south to tax parcel 251.11-2-2 to the north, as now authorized by Permit 2011-43A.
