The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYS DEC) has received a Brownfield Cleanup Program (BCP) application from Delta-Sonic Car Wash Systems, Inc. for a site known as the 348 Langner Road Site, site ID #C915256. This site is located in the Town of West Seneca, within the County of Erie, and is located at 348 Langner Road. Comments regarding this application must be submitted no later than May 20, 2011. Negative Declaration

Niagara County - The Lockport City School District, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Infrastructure Capital Project & Athletic Facilities Upgrades Project will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves various reconstruction, renovation and building upgrade work to address infrastructure needs including improvement of building operations and programs and site work items identified in conditions' surveys of the middle and elementary schools. Items include reconstruction of roofs, asbestos abatement, re-pointing chimneys and upgrades to electrical/lighting, computer data infrastructure, phone systems, HVAC controls, boiler/piping, windows, doors, ceilings, millwork, lockers, elevator. Small additions (e.g., classrooms, cafeteria at Kelley Elementary School, cafeteria at Merritt Elementary School). Renovations/reconstruction include science rooms at North Park Middle School, conversion of classrooms to library at Kelley Elementary School, cafeteria serving lines, locker rooms, concession stand plumbing, wood gym floor, and auditorium upgrades including lighting, sound systems.

Site work upgrades include reconstruction of roadways, parking areas, sidewalks and steps at multiple sites, new bus loop / visitors' lot at Merritt Elementary School, expanded parking and drop-off area renovation at Kelley Elementary School, resurface tracks and tennis courts, new playgrounds, and reconstruction of basketball court.

Athletic Facilities Upgrades Project items at the High School include a new multipurpose synthetic turf complex, 2,500 seat bleachers, press box, concession stand with rest rooms, locker rooms and storage, scoreboard, sound system, field lighting, fencing, bermed landscaping, storm water management/treatment, new Varsity softball, soccer/lacrosse, football practice fields, upgraded Junior Varsity softball field and tennis courts, entrance/courtyard, drop-off circle, and HVAC controls in the High School.

The project is located at multiple sites throughout the Lockport City School District in the City of Lockport, New York.
