Proposed disturbance to NYS Freshwater Wetland HP-12 will be approximately .2 acres, including 115 linear feet of disturbance to Crumb Elbow Creek and installation of 2.65 cubic yards of rip rap.

The applicant proposes construction of a 220,998 square-foot warehouse and office on a previously disturbed site. The proposal includes approximately 0.46 acre of disturbance to wetlands under the jurisdiction of the Army Corp of Engineers, 0.713 acre of disturbance to the 100-foot adjacent area of NYS-regulated wetland NA-4 (Class 1) for an access drive and stormwater basin, and 0.67 acre of disturbance to the adjacent area for restoration of a previously disturbed area with native vegetation. Creation of new wetland areas adjacent to the Army Corp wetland is also proposed and restoration of a natural stream bed in an unnamed sub-tributary of the Hackensack River (NYS Waters Index # NJ-1-9-2-a, Class C). No disturbance to the state-regulated wetland is proposed.

The New York State Thruway Authority is proposing a roadway rehabilitation project with safety upgrades and drainage improvements. The proposed project includes roadway repaving, replacement of guide rails, and the rehabilitation of several drainage culverts, within NYS regulated Freshwater Wetlands CD-4 (Class II), CD-49 (Class II), NB-5 (Class III) and associated 100-foot adjacent areas. All proposed project locations are within the existing NYS Thruway (I-87) Right of Way, between Milepost 60.1 in the Town of Newburgh, Orange County and Milepost 76.5 in the Town of New Paltz, Ulster County.
