Project Description: A commercial sand and gravel extraction having a Life of Mine area of 6.77 acres and containing a total of approximately 150,000 cubic yards of material is to be operated. It will have a projected 5 year Life of Mine Period. Extraction and hauling operations are proposed to occur from May through October, Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and occasionally on Saturdays from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (noon).
Notice of Acceptance of Draft EIS and Public Comment Period
Saratoga County - The Town of Clifton Park Town Board, as lead agency, has accepted a Draft Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Ushers Woods Planned Development District Project. Written comments on the Draft EIS will be accepted until May 11, 2011. The Draft EIS is available online at: http://www.cliftonpark.org/townhall/planning/Ushers-Woods-Planned-Dev.asp. A hard copy of the Draft EIS is also available for review within the Town Clerk's Office, Monday thru Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., One Town Hall Plaza, Clifton Park, NY.
The action involves the construction of up to 194 single family units designed for senior residents on 96.1 ± acres located on the north side of Ushers Road. The site is a compilation of 7 parcels bounded by the Adirondack Northway (I-87), Ushers Road and properties to the rear of Wooddale Drive in the Town of Clifton Park, New York.
