The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation has added a link to a translation service developed by Microsoft Inc., entitled Bing Translator, as a convenience to visitors to the DEC website who speak languages other than English.

Notice of Acceptance of Final EIS

Monroe County - Dorraine Kirkmire, Manager of Zoning, as lead agency, has accepted a Final Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed East Avenue Wegmans. Copies of the Final EIS are available for review at the following locations:

The action involves the demolition of 1776-1812 East Avenue for the construction of a new 95,000 square foot grocery store with 352 spaces of surface parking, 132 spaces of underground parking and a new loading area. Following the construction of the proposed store, the existing store at 1760 East Avenue, will be demolished. The project is located in the block that is bound by East Avenue, Winton Road, University Avenue and Probert Street in the City of Rochester, New York.
