Project Description:

Applicant proposes to install fiber optic cable along 60 miles of various road right of way to upgrade telecommunication facilities. A portion of this project installation involves directional boring cable under an approximate 320 ft. section of the 100-foot adjacent area of State Freshwater Wetland # HT-10 along St. Rte. 19 in the Town of Hume and also Tributary 131 of the Genesee River along St. Rte. 19 in the Town of Caneadea.

State Historic Preservation Act (SHPA) Determination:

A Structural-Archaeological Assessment Form has been completed. The proposed activity will not impact on registered, eligible or inventoried archaeological sites or historic structures.

Coastal Management:

This project is not located in a Coastal Management area and is not subject to the Waterfront Revitalization and Coastal Resources Act.

Opportunity for Public Comment:

Project Description:

The Department has received an application for the discharge of 1,390 gallons per day of treated sanitary waste water from a proposed septic tank/sand filter system at the applicant's facility at 10689 West Lake Road in the Town of Ripley. The proposed discharge is to a class C tributary of Lake Erie. The Department has made a tentative determination to approve this application. As a tentative determination, the Department is seeking public comment on the application prior to making a final decision on permit issuance. As such, this tentative determination does not signify Department approval for or endorsement of the activity for which a permit is sought. A draft permit is available for review.
