The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYS DEC) has determined that site ID #130021, known as the Anchor Lith Kem Ko (Anchor Chem) site, may be deleted from the New York State Registry of Inactive Hazardous Waste Disposal Sites. This site is located in the Town of Hicksville, within the County of Nassau, and is located at 500 West John Street, Hicksville, NY 11801. Nassau and Suffolk Counties - The New York State Department of Transportation (NYS DOT), as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Ocean Parkway Shared-Use Path - Wantagh State Parkway to Robert Moses Causeway will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the the construction of a 10 foot to 13 foot wide paved shared-use path on the north side of Ocean Parkway, from the south terminus of the Ellen Farrant Memorial Shared-Use Path on the Wantagh State Parkway in Nassau County to Captree State Park in Suffolk County, New York.

Suffolk County - The Board of Trustees of the Incorporated Village of Patchogue, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Mixed-Use Development of Downtown Patchogue Redevelopers, LLC will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the modification of the previously approved site plan (detailed in the following section) to remove the hotel use and develop 51 additional residential units, 7,689 square feet of additional retail space and a subsurface parking area. Therefore, the proposed action would construct a total of 291 residential units, 36,149 square feet of retail space, an underground parking structure and associated appurtenances on parcels located on the north side of West Main Street, the east and west sides of Havens Avenue, the south side of Lake Street, and the west side of North Ocean Avenue. The instant application also includes the redevelopment of a 0.51 ± acre parcel on the north side of Lake Street for surface parking, in the same manner as the previously-approved development, with a portion of the parcel to be dedicated to the Village; improvements to Havens Avenue, including the alignment with Jennings Avenue; and a land swap between the applicant and the Incorporated Village of Patchogue.. The project is located on 4.87 ± acres on the north side of West Main Street, the east and west sides of Havens Avenue, the north and south sides of Lake Street, and the west side of North Ocean Avenue in the Incorporated Village of Patchogue, New York.

Notice of Acceptance of Draft GEIS and Public Hearing
Suffolk County - Suffolk County, as lead agency, has accepted a Draft Generic Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Declaration as Surplus and Subsequent Sale of 255 + acres of County Owned Land in Yaphank for Mixed-Use Development Purposes. A public hearing on the Draft GEIS will be held on April 12, 2011 at 6:00 p.m. at the Rose Caracappa Legislative Auditorium, William Rogers Legislative Building, Veterans Memorial Highway, Smithtown, NY. Written comments on the Draft GEIS will be accepted until April 29, 2011. The Draft GEIS is available in a hard copy at the Suffolk County Planning Department, 4th Floor, H. The action involves the declaring of 255 ± acres of County Owned land in Yaphank surplus for mixed-use development purposes. The site includes four distinct development areas in which to accommodate sports and wellness facilities, office use, restaurants, hotel use, retail use, mixed income rental and ownership housing, a sports arena, an outdoor stadium, athletic facilities and trails, light industrial uses and electric production facilities. The project is located on approximately 255 ± acres of land in the hamlet of Yaphank, Town of Brookhaven, New York. The proposed location for project components is located on multiple parcels within the Yaphank County Center on both the east and west sides of Yaphank Avenue, south of the Long Island Expressway and north of Horse Block Road.

Notice of Acceptance of Final EIS
Nassau County - The Board of Trustees of the Incorporated Village of Muttontown, as lead agency, has accepted a Final Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Special Use Permit Application of the Jewish Congregation of Brookville. The Final EIS is available for public review at the office of the contact person, at the Jericho Public Library, One Merry Lane, Jericho, New York 11753, and on the Village of Muttontown's website at: www.villageofmuttontown.com.
The action involves a request for a special use permit and site plan approval to allow the construction of a synagogue and associated appurtenances (including 120 on-site parking spaces) for The Jewish Congregation of Brookville, which currently shares space with the Brookville Reformed Church, in the Incorporated Village of Brookville. The Jewish Congregation of Brookville is proposing the construction of a 22,173 square foot synagogue with approximately 247 fixed seats (plus the possibility of 138 fixed seats in a balcony for High Holiday use) on a vacant 6.11 acre parcel. The full build-out of the synagogue will be completed in phases based upon the growth needs of the congregation. The project is located on the east side of New York State Route 106, between Brookville Road and Belle Sonia Court in the Incorporated Village of Muttontown, New York.
