Project Description:

The applicant proposes to construct an access driveway appproximately 318 feet in length and 24 feet in width in order to connect Bayview Street, the school parking lot, and Cedar/Ionia streets. A portion of the proposed driveway will cross regulated tidal wetlands, and a drainage culvert is proposed under the driveway to maintain existing tidal flow and drainage. A restoration plan, which includes plantings of native wetland species, is proposed to address wetland impacts.

The project is located on the north side of the Seaford Harbor Elementary School, north of Bayview St., Seaford, Town of Hempstead, Nassau County.
