Niagara County - The Town of Wheatfield, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Town of Wheatfield Zoning Code Amendment to the Agricultural-Residential (A-R) Zoning District will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves an amendment to the Agricultural-Residential (A-R) zoning district. The changes will add uses permitted upon issuance of a special permit. The law will apply to areas zoned Agricultural-Residential (A-R) across the Town of Wheatfield, New York.

Notice of Acceptance of Draft EIS and Public Hearing
Niagara County - The New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation (NYS OPRHP), as lead agency, has accepted a Draft Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Upgrades and Improvements to the Outdoor Amphitheater at Earl W. Brydges Artpark State Park. A public hearing on the Draft EIS will be held on March 15, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. in the Board room of the Village of Lewiston Hall, 145 North 4th Street, Lewiston, New York. Written comments on the Draft EIS will be accepted until March 25, 2011. the Draft EIS is available at the following locations: the Park Office; at the office of the contact person; and at the Lewiston Public Library, 305 South 8th Street, Lewiston, NY. The action involves the upgrade and enhancement of the outdoor amphitheater and support facilities at the Earl W. Brydges Artpark State Park including a new stage, new seating and viewing areas, enhanced parking and access roads, new concession facilities and rest rooms, and ancillary support facilities. It also includes facilities for family-oriented arts and crafts and visual arts programming. The Draft EIS describes potential environmental impacts and mitigation of those that may be adverse. Major areas that have been evaluated with respect to impacts include: noise, potentially contaminated soils, construction impacts and traffic impacts. The project is located at 450 South 4th Street in the Village of Lewiston, New York.
