Notice of Acceptance of Final EIS

Nassau County - The Board of Trustees of the Incorporated Village of Garden City, as lead agency, has accepted a Final Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed St. Paul's School Demolition. The Final EIS is available for review at Village of Garden City Village Hall, 351 Stewart Avenue, Garden City, New York 11530 and on line at: http://www.gardencityny.net/Stpauls_feis.html.

The action involves the demolition of the Main Building and Ellis Hall at the vacant St. Paul's School. After demolition the building's footprints and immediately adjacent areas will be graded and planted for recreational open space. The former main entrance driveway and parking will remain for access and parking. The project is located at 295 Stewart Avenue in Garden City, Town of Hempstead, New York.

Notice of Acceptance of Final GEIS

Suffolk County - The Town of Brookhaven Town Board, as lead agency, has accepted a Final Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Gordon Heights Land Use Plan. Copies of the Final GEIS are available at: Town of Brookhaven, Office of the Town Clerk, 1 Independence Hill, Farmingville, NY 11738 and on line at: www.brookhaven.org.

The action involves the adoption by the Town Board of a land use plan for the community of Gordon Heights. The Gordon Heights Land Use Plan was prepared as a follow-up to a community visioning conducted two years earlier. The Gordon Heights Land Use Plan details land use, demographics, economics, mobility, infrastructure, and environmental resources and provides guidance for future land-use decisions inside the Gordon Heights community. The project is located on East Bartlett Road and West Bartlett Road to the east; Mill Road to the west; and the area approximately 1,000 feet south of Granny Road on the southern end in the Town of Brookhaven, New York.
