Project Description:

The applicant proposes the rehabilitate Pier 12 at the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal in Buttermilk Channel, Brooklyn. The proposed work includes full encasement of 34 piles, partial encasement of 271, pier platform demolition and installation of a new concrete deck. Approximately 510 cubic yards of fill material will be placed below high water. The applicant proposes the removal of approximately 300 cubic yards of debris/materials from aquatic habitat as mitigation.

A Structural-Archaeological Assessment Form has been completed. The proposed activity will not impact on registered, eligible or inventoried archaeological sites or historic structures.

This project is located in a Coastal Management area and is subject to the Waterfront Revitalization and Coastal Resources Act.

Project Description:

Applicant proposes to operate a temporary dewatering system to conduct a 10 day pump test with a maximum withdrawal of 1,440,000 gallons per day. The pump test will take place at the Tallman Island WPCP site. The pumped groundwater is to be treated with an 18,000 gallon settling tank and directed via a temporary outfall pipe to Powell's Cove.

Project Description:

The applicant proposes the reforestation of Alley Pond Park. The proposed work includes the removal of invasive plants and planting of native trees, shrubs and herbs. To control erosion invasive plants will be removed above grade and herbicide will be applied. The proposed work also includes stabilizing an existing path using geo-textile and stones to facilitate equipment and personnel access. After invasive plants are controlled, native forests will be established through planting of native trees and shrubs. Native wildflowers and grasses will be seeded on the site to help retain soil while woody plants become established. The project site is located within NYSDEC regulated Class I Freshwater Wetlands SE-3 at Alley Pond Park between the Long Island Expressway and Northern Boulevard.
