Genesee County - The Town of Alabama, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Town of Alabama Water District No. 2 will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the installation of approximately 117,120 linear feet of watermain along portions of Judge Road, Alleghany Road, Lewiston Road, Knowlesville Road, Crosby Road, Church Street, Bloomingdale Road, Maple Street and Ham Road. A portion of the watermain along Judge Road will be a transmission main located in the Town of Oakfield. In addition to the watermain, the project includes hydrants, valves, road crossings, excavation and bedding materials, watermain connections, residential hook-ups, and surface restoration. Residents in this area are dependent upon individual groundwater supplies that historically have produced very low yields of poor quality water. The project is located along porrtions of Judge Road, Alleghany Road, Lewiston Road, Knowlesville Road, Crosby Road, Church Street, Bloomingdale Road, Maple Street and Ham Road in the Town of Alabama, New York.
