Moose River Plains Wild Forest and Moose River Plains Intensive Use Area Unit Management Plans / Final GEIS
This notice is to acknowledge that the Commissioner of the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYS DEC) approved and signed the Final Unit Management Plans/Final GEIS for the Moose River Plains Wild Forest and Moose River Plains Intensive Use Area on January 27th, 2011.

Moose River Plains Wild Forest is located in the Towns of Webb, Ohio, Inlet, Long Lake, Arietta, Lake Pleasant, and Morehouse, New York.

Variance Location: On the shoreline of Lake George in the Town of Dresden, New York.

Project Description: The variance proposal involves the vertical expansion by approximately 10 feet of a 24 foot by 36 foot pre-1973 single family dwelling located within the shoreline setback area. The existing dwelling is 17 feet 7 inches in height, with the expanded dwelling proposed at 27 feet 6.5 inches in height. The proposed height expansion will result in two additional bedrooms and one additional bathroom in the dwelling. The site is served by a municipal wastewater treatment system. No lateral expansion or expansion to the footprint of the dwelling is proposed.
Fulton County - The Town of Mayfield, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Petition for Annexation of Territory will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves ten (10) parcels totaling approximately 107 acres of which approximately six (6) parcels totaling 61 acres are in the Town of Broadalbin and four (4) parcels totaling approximately 46 acres are in the Town of Mayfield are proposed to be annexed into the Village of Broadalbin. The proposed action includes just the annexation of land and not any future developments that may occur on these lands. Any future developments on these lands once annexed into the Village of Broadalbin would be subject to a separate SEQR review. The project is located on Bellen Road in the Towns of Broadalbin and Mayfield, New York.

Warren County - The Town of Queensbury Town Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Amendment of Zoning Law - Chapter 179 will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves revisions, clarifications and additions to certain chapters of the Zoning Ordinance including; Definitions, Districts, General and Supplemental Regulations, Environmental, Design and Performance standards, Site Plan Review, Special Use Permits, PUD, PCID, PRD and Non-Conforming Uses and Structures. Additionally, the revisions include changes to the Zoning Map as well as the Area and Use tables. These revisions are to the code adopted in April of 2009 and are generally considered to be grammatical and typographic corrections with other minor policy and map amendments. The project is located throughout the Town of Queensbury, New York.
