Project Description:

The Albany County Airport Authority proposes to construct a drainage and access improvement project in the northwest quadrant of the Albany International Airport. The project includes the construction of an access road to Hanger Building 201; extension of existing 54-inch and 24-inch culverts to accommodate the access road; maintenance dredging to improve drainage and facilitate the placement of a security rack, and repair of approximately 80 feet of the security perimeter fencing across Shakers Creek. The project is located at the Albany County Airport, Town of Colonie, Albany County.

No further review in accordance with SHPA is required.

Coastal Management:

This project is not located in a Coastal Management area and is not subject to the Waterfront Revitalization and Coastal Resources Act.

Project Description:

The applicant is proposing to construct a Recreational Summer Camp for a population of 600 campers. The project involves the construction of one 40-person bunkhouse, four modular homes for camp counselors with families, a new 8,280 sq. ft. dining hall, additional parking for up to 35 cars and two stormwater detention ponds. The project also involves the construction of: a new wastewater treatment facility which will have a surface discharge of approximately 27,000 gallons per day (gpd) of sanitary wastewater to an unnamed tributary (H-193-29-7-1) of Basic Creek. The new treatment system will replace an existing subsurface treatment system which was previously permitted to discharge 11,630 gpd. The department has made a tentative determination to approve this SPDES permit and a Draft SPDES permit is available for review. The project will permanently impact 0.32 acres of federal wetland.

Project Description:

The applicant proposes to construct a new 26' X 36' single family residence with attached 8' wide deck. The new structures will be located a distance of approximately 34 feet from the wetland boundary of NYS Freshwater wetland RJ-3 and approximately 46 feet from the open water shoreline of Mud Pond. A new 6' wide X 12' long seasonal floating dock at the shore of Mud Pond on the parcel is also proposed. To mitigate for wetland buffer impacts, a 30 foot wide buffer strip extending along the shoreline for the length of the property will be left unmowed with the exception of a small maintained path to access the dock. The property is located along the north side of Weast Road approximately 400 feet west of the intersection with Island Drive.

Project Description:

The applicant proposes to reconstruct Gilboa Dam, a New York City Water Supply Dam, on the Schoharie Creek completed in 1927. Work under Cat 212B will include rehabilitation of the dam and associated appurtenant structures to meet New York State's Dam Safety Standards for newly constructed dams. Cat21C includes the construction of a new Low Level Outlet (LLO), intake structure within the reservoir, gateshaft and tunnel around the east end of the dam and a outfall Valve Chamber on the banks of the Schoharie Creek below the dam to provide for the ability to draw down the reservoir in compliance with dam safety standards.
