New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYS DEC) - Region 5 Reports of Administration Use of Motor Vehicles and Aircraft in the Forest Preserve

Request for Proposals (RFP) Solid Waste Facility Management Services for Town of Colonie, New York.

Pursuant to New York State General Municipal Law, Section 120-w, the Town of Colonie, New York (Albany County, New York), hereby gives notice of the following:

The Town of Colonie, New York (Town) desires to procure an agreement (Contract) with a firm for solid waste facility management services at its Colonie Landfill, which is located in the Town of Colonie. The Town, on October 8, 2010, issued a Draft Request For Proposals (Draft RFP) with respect to the Contract and the Town received comments and questions (Comments) from certain parties in response to the Draft RFP. The Town has reviewed the Comments and, as a result of such review, the Town has developed and promulgated findings with respect to the substantive elements of such Comments (Findings). The Town has also issued a Final Request for Proposals (RFP) with respect to the Contract and the RFP, along with the Findings, have been filed with the Town Clerk and at the William K. Sanford Library, which is located at 629 Albany-Shaker Road, Loudonville, New York. Any person or entity that has questions or needs clarifications regarding the RFP should deliver such questions and requests for clarifications to the below-referenced address by 4:30 p.m. on February 23, 2011. As per the instructions of the RFP, responses to the RFP must be submitted by 2:00 p.m. on March 31, 2011.

Negative Declaration

Schenectady County - The Schenectady Metroplex, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed K-Mart Plaza Redevelopment will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves a proposal by the applicant, RD Management LLC, to redevelop an existing commercial retail plaza situated on 13.87 acres. The applicant proposes to demolish the existing 100,116 square foot former K-Mart facility and the existing 27,624 square foot former grocery store. The proposed re-development consists of a discount store of approximately 134,742 square feet; approximately 36,000 square feet of additional commercial space immediately adjacent to the discount store; and an approximately 3,000 square foot pad for a commercial use to be located in the parking field. The existing parking lots will be reconstructed, restriped and landscaped; there will be on-site utility improvements, most notably storm water facilities. Each use will be serviced by public water and sewer. The Project is located in a Commercial Zoning District and within the Town Center Overlay District. The Project will result in a variety of socio-economic benefits for the Town of Glenville and the surrounding area. The project is located at 202 and 204 Saratoga Road in the Town of Glenville, New York.
