Project Description: The action involves after-the-fact permit for the construction of two commercial boat storage buildings constructed in 1998, a commercial landscaping business, three new commercial uses in pre-existing buildings, two new sports equipment storage buildings constructed in 2001 and construction of two athletic fields.
Negative Declaration
Essex County - The Town of Westport, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Sewer District #1 Extension #1 will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves 6,000 linear feet of sewer collection pipeline to service 21 residential users, the Westport Department of Public Works and the Industrial Park. The project begins at the existing pump station near the NYS Boat Launch facility and incorporates excavation activities and restoration within existing State and Local roadside rights of way, construction of pump station modifications, lateral service connection, a grinder pump, 600 linear feet of force main, 27 manholes and one brook crossing. The project is located on NYS Route 22 and Bessboro Lane in the Town of Westport, New York.
