Delaware County - The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYS DEC), as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Johnston and Rhodes Shinhopple Quarry will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves a proposal to operate a 13.8 acre life-of-mine consolidated surface bluestone mine. There is an increase in the original life-of-mine of 9.8 acres by 4 acres, 0.6 acres are due to better surveying and the remaining 3.6 acres are due to area affected outside the life-of-mine, for a total of 13.8 acres to be affected during this permit term (5 years). There will be drilling and controlled blasting required to remove stone. There will also be use of saws to split stone and on-site crushing. The project is located on Trout Brook Road in the Town of Colchester, New York.

Rensselaer County - The New York State Department of Transportation (NYS DOT), as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Slope Repair Set Aside Project in the Village of Hoosick Falls will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the stabilizing a slope adjacent to NYS Route 22 and reconstructing a section of highway. The project objectives are to stabilize the slope to prevent further movement and also repair damage to the pavement, curb, sidewalk and closed drainage system on NYS Route 22. The project requires acquisition of the occupied dwelling at 38 High Street in Hoosick Falls. The project is located along NYS Route 22 in the Village of Hoosick Falls, New York.
