Project Description:
JWJ Inc. has submitted a solid waste renewal application with modifications for the existing transfer station at 436 Co Rte 51 in the Town of New Haven, Oswego County. The proposed modifications include; 1) increase the daily waste acceptance volume of 65 tons per day of construction and demolition debris to 250 tons per day; 2) accommodate this increase by expanding the existing concrete processing and storage pad 35 feet by 80 feet; 3) shred construction and demolition debris; and 4) eliminate handling of previously approved municipal solid waste. All stormwater in contact with waste material will be diverted to a holding tank and hauled to an approved disposal facility. The proposed shredder is to operate at less than 400 HP, exempting it from air permitting or registration. The application and project plans are available for review in the Syracuse Office upon arrangements made with the contact person listed below.
