The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYS DEC) has received a Petition for delisting the Former Sperry Remington Site, from a Class 2 in the New York State Registry of Inactive Hazardous Waste Disposal Site. The site is located at 1051 Smith Main Street in Elmira, Chemung County.

Negative Declaration
Monroe County - Monroe County, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Transfer of Sewer Assets from the City of Rochester to the Rochester Pure Waters District will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the transfer of all City of Rochester-owned sanitary, storm and combined sewer assets including, but not limited to, land, easements, equipment and property to the Rochester Pure Waters District. The project is located throughout the City of Rochester, New York.
