Negative Declaration
Rensselaer County - The City of Troy Planning Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Chasen Building Office Redevelopment and Proctor's Theater Area Master Plan will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the adoption of a Master Plan which proposes redevelopmen/construction in the following stages:
1) Rehabilitation/preservation of the Chasen Building with as much as 33,520 ± gross square feet mixed use office/retail building.
2) Rehabilitation/preservation (including preservation of the facade of the Proctor's Theater Building) with as much as 30,094 ± square feet of office space.
3) Stabilization/preservation of the Auditorium/Stage Building to include limited roof repair, cleaning of the inside walls and utilities, and alternatively,
a) Potential removal Auditorium/Stage Building for the redevelopment of a 60,000 ± square feet office building, or
b) Removal of 78-80 Fourth Street or some variation thereof, such as potentially preserving 80 Fourth Street and replacement with 24,000 ± square feet of office space.
The project is located 70-76, 78, 80 and 82-94 Fourth Street in the City of Troy, New York.
