Project Description:
Build a 4'-5' high stacked stone wall above the mean high water mark, install filter fabric and backfill for approximately 15' behind it to prevent further shoreline erosion. Install a 20' long x 8' wide stone walkway from the shore to between two existing concrete blocks in the river. Cap the waterward end of the walkway and the two concrete blocks with an 8' x 5' timber platform.

Project Description:
Build an access road from South Woods Road to an exploratory drilling site approximately 2500' south of South Woods Road. The access road will cross three fingers of federal wetland. These three wetland crossings will be constructed of filter fabric and clean fill over culvert pipes. One crossing will be 20' wide by 50' long, the second will be 20' wide by 30' long and the last will be 20' wide by 15' long.

Project Description:
The applicant has applied for a renewal and modification to an existing sand and gravel mine by the addition of approximately 2.6 acres for a total Life of Mine of 8.6 acres within a 209.0 acre parcel north of the hamlet of Gale. The project site is the applicant's property which is located east of NYS Route 3, approximately 1,200 north of the hamlet of Gale, 2.5 miles south of the Hamlet of Childwold in the Town of Piercefield. The mine is intended to operate as a traditional surface extraction of the Adams Sand which is the predominate soil type on the site. Mining is proposed for above the local water table. Excavation will be done by mechanical equipment, standard for sand and gravel mining operations. Material will be stockpiled as unprocessed 'run-of-bank', or processed with portable screens and crushers. Maximum processing rates for the screen and crushing operations will not exceed 150 tons-per-hour (TPH). Final reclamation will restore the site to a +/-8.6 acre uniformly graded and re-vegetated open land. The reviewed expansion life-of-mine area is 2.6 (LOM) acres.
