Project Description:
The applicant, the Town of Goshen, proposes to construct a back-up water supply well (Well #3) with 30 gallon per minute capacity for the Stone Hedge Water District. The new well (Well #3) will replace Well #2 which was failing and is no longer in use. Well #3 is proposed within an existing well field and will be located within the 100 foot adjacent area of Freshwater Wetland GO-28 (Class II). The project includes the construction of approximately 75 linear feet of new 4 inch diameter water main within the adjacent area to connect the new well to the existing treatment plant. No disturbance to the wetland is proposed; the total area of disturbance to the adjacent area of the wetland is less than 0.01-acre. The total amount of taking for the water district is 43,200 gallons per day (gpd). The project is located on the south side of Craigville Road in the Town of Goshen, Orange County.

A Structural-Archaeological Assessment Form has been completed. The proposed activity will not impact on registered, eligible or inventoried archaeological sites or historic structures.
Coastal Management:
This project is not located in a Coastal Management area and is not subject to the Waterfront Revitalization and Coastal Resources Act.

Project Description:
Applicant proposes the placement of riprap to stabilize approximately 325 linear feet along the east bank of the Bronx River, and stabilization/improvements to an existing drainage channel; invasive species and debris to be replaced with native wetland/riparian species;.additionally, a storm water wetland will be created adjacent to the channel to remediate flooding due to storm events and an existing pathway to be replaced with new asphalt surface, pitched to direct stormwater into treatment areas.
