In Kings County, at the above address, expand the site of an existing, out-of-doors 10,000 square foot Construction and Demolition Debris (C&D) Processing Facility to an adjacent parcel and construct and operate a new 22,500 square foot C&D Processing Facility. The new facility would be completely enclosed and eliminate the existing facility's on-site wastewater discharges to groundwater. The new facility's wastewater would be directed to on-site holding tanks, which would be periodically pumped out. The new facility would include a truck scale, C&D screener, and designated on-street queuing areas. The facility is currently operating under an Order on Consent. The facility's currently authorized throughput capacity of 2,000 cubic yards a day (CYD) C&D and storage capacity of 1,000 CY C&D and recyclables pulled from C&D would remain unchanged.
NYS Department of Environmental Conservation and NYC Department of Sanitation are the SEQR Co-lead Agencies reviewing this application.

State Environmental Quality Review (SEQR) Determination:
Project is an Unlisted Action and will not have a significant impact on the environment. A Negative Declaration is on file. A coordinated review was performed.
SEQR Lead Agency: NYS Department of Environmental Conservation
State Historic Preservation Act (SHPA) Determination:
A cultural resources survey has been completed. The report of the survey is on file. No archaeological sites or historic structures were identified at the project location. No further review in accordance with SHPA is required.
This project is located in a Coastal Management area and is subject to the Waterfront Revitalization and Coastal Resources Act.
