Amendment to the Shaker Mountain Wild Forest/Northville Boat Launch Unit Management Plan

This notice is to acknowledge that the Commissioner of the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYS DEC) approved and signed the Amendment to the Shaker Mountain Wild Forest/Northville Boat Launch Unit Management Plan on October 15th, 2010.

Project Title: W. & R. Aiken Irrevocable Trust Subdivision

Location: Priory Road and NYS Routes 8 & 9 in the Town of Chester, New York.

Project Description: The action involves a subdivision of 85.9 ± acres involving wetlands to create five vacant lots with frontage on Priory Road ranging in size from 8.5 to 19.5 ± acres, each to be developed with a single-family dwelling, and one 31 ± acre lot containing existing development, with frontage on NYS Routes 8 & 9. No new development is proposed for the 31 ± acre lot.

Negative Declaration

Saratoga County - The Town of Stillwater, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Water Transmission Main - Cold Springs Road and Elmore Robinson Road will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the construction of a new water transmission main along the Elmore Robinson Road and Cold Springs Road that will aid in connecting the existing Town of Stillwater water district service areas to the Saratoga County Water Authority (SCWA) water system. Under this project, approximately 13,250 linear feet of 16 inch PVC main will be installed. The main extension will be installed from the connection point adjacent to the new SCWA water storage tank, east on Cordero Boulevard to Cold Springs Road, south on Cold Springs Road to Elmore Robinson Road, and east on Elmore Robinson Road to the intersection with George Thompson Road in Stillwater, New York
