Project Description: The action involves temporary re-use of an existing ski facility. Two chair-lifts (Chair 2 and Chair 3) and one rope-tow are proposed to operate; the two chair lifts will provide skier access to essentially the entire ski area. No expansion of the existing structures is proposed. Project Title: Verizon Cellular Tower, Town of Chester

Location: Off Glendale Road (County Route 62) in the Town of Chester, New York.

Project Description: The project as proposed is a subdivision into sites, involving the lease of a 50 foot by 112.5 foot parcel to Verizon Wireless for the construction of a new 80 foot tall telecommunications tower and a 11.5 foot by 30 foot equipment building on a concrete pad at the base of the tower. The tower and equipment building will be located within a fenced compound. Verizon Wireless proposes a 12 panel antenna array (i.e. four 8 foot panels on each of three sides of the array) mounted at a centerline height of 70 feet above ground level and a 5 foot lightning rod above the antennas for an overall height of 85 feet. Access will be by an existing dirt road and a 110 ± foot extension of the road. Underground utilities will be installed along the road. Verizon has a lease agreement with the landowner of the project site that gives them the right to use the existing access road to access the leased parcel. The project has received all local approvals.


Notice of Acceptance of Final EIS

Washington County - The Fort Edward Planning Board, as lead agency, has accepted a Final Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Killian's View Subdivision. A copy of the Final EIS is available for public inspection at the Fort Edward Town Clerks office, 118 Broadway, Fort Edward, NY, 12828, during regular business hours and at the Fort Edward Free Library, 23 East Street, Fort Edward, NY, 12828, during regular library hours. The Final EIS may also be viewed via the Town's website at www.fortedward.net.

The action involves a 352 lot residential cluster subdivision with associated roadway, stormwater management and municipal sewer and water infrastructure on a 242 + acre parcel of land. The project is located at 67 Killian Lane in the Town of Fort Edward, New York.
