Proposed Amendment to Wetland Maps
Notice is hereby given pursuant to Article 24 (Freshwater Wetlands Act) of the New York State Environmental Conservation Law and 6 NYCRR Part 664 that New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYS DEC) proposes to amend Nassau County Freshwater Wetland Map 2 of 15 to revise the boundary of Wetland BV-7. Maps showing the proposed revision are available at the clerk's office in the village, town and county where the change is taking place, as well as at the NYS DEC - Region 1 Office, Stony Brook, NY. Written comments on the accuracy of the proposed changes to the maps may be mailed to the person listed below through November 15, 2010. No activity subject to regulation under the Freshwater Wetlands Act may be initiated without a permit from NYS DEC within the area that is the subject of the proposal (including the 100 foot wetland adjacent area) until the Commissioner of NYS DEC has either amended the map or denied the amendment.

Nassau County - The City of Glen Cove, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Putnam Estates will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the Average Density Major subdivision of a 2.79 acre tract into ten lots for construction of nine new single-family, attached townhouse type homes and on open space lot. The project is located at the terminus of Putnam Avenue in the City of Glen Cove, New York.

Suffolk County - The Town of Southampton Planning Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Lucky Seven Property, LLC will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the change of use in the existing warehouse building to a special trade contractor use and a non-manufacturing industrial use (storage) located 1.999 acre parcel located in the Highway Business (HB) Zoning District. The project is located 280 West Montauk Highway in Hampton Bays, Town of Southampton, New York.

Notice of Acceptance of Draft EIS and Public Hearing (Correction)
Nassau County - The Planning Board of the City of Glen Cove, as lead agency, has accepted a Draft Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Application of Livingston Development Corp. for The Villa at Glen Cove. A public hearing on the Draft EIS will be held on October 19, 2010 at 8:00 p.m. at the City of Glen Cove City Hall, 9 Glen Street, Glen Cove, New York. Written comments on the Draft EIS will be accepted until 5:00 p.m. on November 16, 2010 . Copies of the Draft EIS are available for public review at the offices of the Lead Agency. A copy of the Draft EIS is also posted on the City of Glen Cove's website at: http://www.glencove-li.com.
The action involves the applicant, Livingston Development Corp., seeking waivers and incentives pursuant to the zoning district known as the "Glen Cove Avenue Redevelopment Incentive Overlay District," and site plan and subdivision approval for the development of "The Villa at Glen Cove". It will include the construction of 216 units within one mid-rise (seven story) condominium building and five lower-rise (four to five story) condominium buildings with associated below grade parking and a one story accessory health and recreation center building on a 3.96 ± acre parcel. The development will consist of five one and 211 two bedroom units. The site will contain 432 underground parking spaces and a gymnasium, indoor swimming pool, multipurpose rooms, terraces, water features, etc. The project is located on the east side of Glen Cove Avenue, between Ralph W. Young Avenue and Craft Avenue and north of Craft Avenue, up to and behind a portion of the Glen Cove Boys and Girls Club in the City of Glen Cove, New York.

Notice of Acceptance of Draft GEIS and Public Hearing
Suffolk County - The Town of Brookhaven Town Board, as lead agency, has accepted a Draft Generic Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Gordon Heights Land Use Plan. A public hearing on the Draft GEIS will be held on November 11, 2010 at 6:30 p.m. at the Town of Brookhaven Town Hall, 1 Independence Hill Road, Farmingville, NY 11738. Written comments on the Draft GEIS will be accepted until November 19, 2010. The Draft GEIS is available from the Town of Brookhaven Town Clerk, 1 Independence Hill Road, Farmingville, NY 11738 and on line at: www.brookhaven.org.
The action involves the adoption by the Town Board of a land use plan for the community of Gordon Heights. The Gordon Heights Land Use Plan was prepared as a follow-up to a community visioning conducted two years earlier. The Gordon Heights Land Use Plan details land use, demographics, economics, mobility, infrastructure, and environmental resources and provides guidance for future land-use decisions inside the Gordon Heights community. The project is located bounded by East and West Bartlett Roads to the east; Mill Road to the west; and the area approximately 1,000 feet south of Granny Road on the southern end in the Town of Brookhaven, New York.
