Project Description:

The Department has prepared a draft permit and has made a tentative determination to issue a renewal of the existing Air State Facility Permit for the Bonsal American facility in Calverton.

The applicant operates a concrete production facility to be located in Calverton, in the Township of Riverhead, New York. Production operations consist of the drying and cooling of wet ground aggregate, which is mixed with cement and packaged. The facility will be restricted to emissions of 15 tons per year of fine particulates. The facility will be permitted under the New York State regulations 6NYCRR Part 201-5 (State Facility Permits) and Part 201-7 (Federally Enforceable Emission Caps).
