Project Description:

The applicant proposes the rehabilitate Pier 12 at the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal in Buttermilk Channel, Brooklyn. The proposed work includes full encasement of 34 piles, partial encasement of 271, pier platform demolition and installation of a new concrete deck. Approximately 510 cubic yards of fill material will be placed below high water. The applicant proposes the removal of approximately 300 cubic yards of debris/materials from aquatic habitat as mitigation.

Project Description:

The applicant proposes to install approximately 3,000 linear feet of 6 inch gas main to feed the Kinder Morgan Oil Tank Farm. The new main will be installed by horizontal drilling along Ellis Road and tie into an existing gas main on Arthur Kill Road. The new main will provide gas to support an oil to gas boiler conversion and to fee a cogeneration unit. The project site is located within the adjacent area of NYSDEC regulated Class I Freshwater Wetland AR-7 (Claypit Pond) on Ellis Road from Arthur Kill Road to the Kinder Morgan Oil Tank farm at the west end of Ellis Road.
