Public Notice

The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYS DEC) has received a Brownfield Cleanup Program (BCP) application from One Holland Avenue Development, LLC for a site known as 1-5 Holland Avenue, site ID #C360115. This site is located in the City of White Plains, Town of White Plains, within the County of Westchester, and is located at 1-5 Holland Avenue. Comments regarding this application must be submitted no later than October 8, 2010. Draft Dutchess County Local Solid Waste Management Plan Comment Period

The Dutchess County Resource Recovery Agency (DCRRA) has prepared a Draft Local Solid Waste Management Plan for Dutchess County pursuant to New York State Environmental Conservation Law §27-0107 to be effective January 1, 2011.

The Draft Plan is available for review on the DCRRA website: www.dcrra.org, at the DCRRA's offices, 96 Sand Dock Road, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601, Monday -Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., and at other locations listed on the DCRRA website.

Public comments on the Draft Plan will be received from September 1, 2010 through October 15, 2010 and may be mailed or delivered to the DCRRA offices, emailed to DCRRA at lswmp@dcrra.org or faxed to DCRRA at: (845) 462-6090, Attention: W. J. Calogero or D. Walsh.

A public hearing on the Draft Plan will be held, and notice of it will be published and posted on the DCRRA website.

Positive Declaration

Dutchess County - The Town of LaGrange Planning Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Crystal Lakes Planned Development District (PDD) may have a significant adverse impact on the environment and a Draft Environmental Impact Statement must be prepared. A public scoping session will be held on September 16, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. at the Town of LaGrange Town Hall, 120 Stringham Road, LaGrangeville, NY 12540.

The action involves a proposal for a Planned Development District (PDD) consisting of a total of 370 attached residential units on approximately 436 total acres. The subject site is located within the R-80 Zoning District. In addition, the Applicant is proposing 220 acres of preserved open space and walking trail networks.

The subject parcel is constrained by Federal, State and Town regulated wetlands and associated buffer areas, 100 year FEMA floodplains, Jackson Creek, Sprout Creek and a tributary thereof traverses the site. The site is located within an Agricultural District, the Stream Overlay Corridor Zone, and the Farmland Preservation Zone. The project is located on Hillside Lake Road, Noxon Road and Arthursburg Road in the Town of LaGrange, New York.
