The project will involve filling of approximately 0.19 acres of Federal wetland. As compensation for the wetland impact, mitigation will consist of construction of a 0.12 acre area of unmaintained forebay wetland.

Project Description:
The applicant proposes to construct a stormwater overflow channel in the 100-foot adjacent area and to the wetland boundary edge of State Freshwater Wetland BC-12 (Class 2). The channel would extend from a proposed weir, along the south side of County Road 32, to the floodplain of Mud Creek. Channel will be approximately 750 feet long and approximately 50 feet wide. The purpose of the channel is to reduce the likelihood of flooding of adjacent properties and to ensure the integrity of County Road 32.
