Public Meeting Notice
Shandaken Tunnel Outlet SPDES Permit General Meeting - August 25, 2010
The New York City Department of Environmental Protection (NYC DEP) hereby gives notice that a meeting will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., on Wednesday, August 25, 2010, at the Lexington Community Hall, 141 Spruceton Road, West Kill, New York.
The meeting is being held in accordance with State Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (SPDES) Discharge Permit No. NY-026-8151 for the Shandaken Tunnel Outlet. NYC DEP will discuss the progress of several projects in the Catskill watershed region. Public input is welcome.
The meeting is open to the public.

Delaware County - The Town of Walton Planning Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Stony Creek Campground Water Treatment Plant will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the redesign and expansion of an on-site wastewater treatment facility to up to 2,000 gallons of water per day to serve one 3 bedroom house and up to 36 farm labor campers. The project is located at 1738 Freer Hollow Road in the Town of Walton, New York.

Greene County - The Cairo Planning Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Site Plan Review Application of Charter Realty will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves a proposal by the applicant to develop a 40,000 square foot supermarket with two adjoining retail buildings totaling 35,000 square feet and three detached retail buildings totaling 14,000 square feet plus 571+ parking spaces on a 30.218 acre parcel. The project is located on the west side of County Route 23-B, the east side of NYS Route 32 and north of Mount Simons Road in Cairo, New York.

Montgomery County - The Town of Amsterdam Planning Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Golf Course Road Residential Subdivision will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves a proposal by the applicant to subdivide the existing 62.36 ± parcel into 63 single family dwelling units for affordable housing. The residential development proposes two entrance points fronting along Golf Course Road. The general development objectives follow the conventional zoning outlined in the Town of Amsterdam Zoning R-1 regulations. Each lot will be serviced with public water and sewer. Stormwater management will be provided on-site by several New York State Department of Environmental Conservation compliant stormwater management areas. The project is located on the northside of Golf Course Road, 2,400 feet east of McKay Road in the Town of Amsterdam, New York.
