Project Description: The reconstruction of a pre-existing dam located on North Meadow Brook. The dam's rehabilitation will result in the same "normal pool elevation" for the impoundment. The proposed replacement dam has been designed in accordance with the engineering criteria for the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation Dam Safety Guidelines.

Negative Declaration

Saratoga County - The Town of Moreau Town Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Repeal and Replacement of Chapter 113 "Sand, Gravel and Mining" will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the adoption of a Local Law which replaces existing Chapter 113 "Sand, Gravel and Mining" with Chapter 113 "Sand, Gravel and Mining" of the Town of Moreau Code which prohibits the mining of sand, gravel or other natural material deposits in the Town with the exception of legally existing mining operations in the M -1, M -1A and M -2 Zoning Districts. The project is located throughout the Town of Moreau, New York.

Notice of Acceptance of Draft SEIS and Public Hearing

Franklin County - The Adirondack Park Agency (APA), as lead agency, has accepted a Draft Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Map Amendment 2010-02. The Draft SEIS is available for public review at the Adirondack Park Agency headquarters, 1133 NYS Route 86, Ray Brook, NY and online at: www.apa.state.ny.us. A public hearing on the Draft Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement and proposed amendment will be held on August 25, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. at the Harrietstown Town Hall, 39 Main Street, Saranac Lake, New York. The Adirondack Park Agency will accept written comments on the proposed action until September 13, 2010.

The action involves a proposed amendment to the Official Adirondack Park Land Use and Development Plan Map (MA2010-02) in the Town of Harrietstown. The proposed map amendment was requested by the North Country Partners, LP, a land owner. The proposed map amendment area is located west of NYS Route 30, on the north shore of Lake Clear in the Town of Harrietstown, New York. The proposed amendment would reclassify approximately 53.2 acres of land from Resource Management to Moderate Intensity Use.
