Project Description:

Construction of 54 rental apartments in two buildings on an 8.6 acre parcel of land located at NYS Route 9 and Myers Corners Road in the Village of Wappinger Falls, Dutchess County. The proposed development includes construction of parts of the two buildings, a stormwater detention basin, and a gravel pathway, within the 100-foot adjacent area of NYSDEC Freshwater Wetland WF-2.

State Environmental Quality Review (SEQR) Determination:

Project is an Unlisted Action and will not have a significant impact on the environment. A Negative Declaration is on file. A coordinated review was performed.

SEQR Lead Agency: Wappingers Falls Village Planning Board

State Historic Preservation Act (SHPA) Determination:

Cultural resource lists and map have been checked. No registered, eligible or inventoried archaeological sites or historic structures were identified at the project location. No further review in accordance with SHPA is required.

Coastal Management:

This project is not located in a Coastal Management area and is not subject to the Waterfront Revitalization and Coastal Resources Act.

Opportunity for Public Comment:

Comments on this project must be submitted in writing to the Contact Person no later than Aug 19, 2010.

Project Description:

The applicant proposes to install a 13,500 linear foot by 12-inch diameter gas main pipe through NYS-regulated Freshwater Wetland MD-19 (Class 2) and its 100-foot Adjacent Area. The proposed pipe commences within the right of way of Genung St. at the intersection with Stanton St. in the City of Middletown and continues east to Dolsontown Rd., south to McVeigh Rd., and east to a tie-in with an existing gas line at the intersection of McVeigh Rd. and County Route 50 (Golf Links Rd.) in the Town of Wawayanda.
