Negative Declaration

Herkimer County - The Village of Dolgeville, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Inflow and Infiltration Remediation Project will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves a proposal for an Inflow and Infiltration Project which will be comprised of three (3) main parts: 1) correcting inflow and infitration within the sanitary sewer collection system by installing storm sewer and replacing some existing sewer lines, 2) storing methane gas from the existing anaerobic digester for use in heating the wastewater treatment plant, and 3) composting of dewatering sludge from the digester for use by the community or possibly resale. The project is located at the Village of Dolgeville Wastewater Treatment Plant and along Timmerman Street, Stewart Street, Sullivan Street, Burt Street, Brayton Street, Beaver Street and Vanburren Street in the Village of Dolgeville, New York.
