Project Description:
The mining of sand and gravel on lands owned by Karen Rosencrantz. Approved operations involve the total of 5.0 acres of affected land during the permit term. This affected acreages is also the limits of a "major" mining activity, with a life of mine area of 15.6 acres, identified in the approved mined land use plan.

State Historic Preservation Act (SHPA) Determination:
Cultural resource lists and map have been checked. No registered, eligible or inventoried archaeological sites or historic structures were identified at the project location. No further review in accordance with SHPA is required.
Coastal Management:
This project is not located in a Coastal Management area and is not subject to the Waterfront Revitalization and Coastal Resources Act.

Project Description:
The applicant proposes to expand a permitted 4 acre sand and gravel mine to include an additional 15.8 acres. The site is located on an 867.9 acre parcel owned by Benson Mines, Inc., 100 Bay Street, Glens Falls, New York 12801. The site is further located east of County Route 60, approximately 2,500' north of the intersection of State Highway 3 and County Road 60. Mining will be traditional surface mining using mechanized equipment. On site processing such as crushing with a portable crusher and screening as needed may take place. Approximately 200,000 tons of material is estimated to be removed over an estimated 30 year life of mine operation.

Project Description:
Install floating docks in class 2 state regulated wetland CB-7. As extensions on existing docks at the marina, an L-shaped dock measuring 6'x40' and 6'x124' with eight 6'x20' fingers and a 30'x40' C-shaped boat port will be added. A facility perimeter will be established which the floating docks cannot extend beyond.
