The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation has added a link to a translation service developed by Microsoft Inc., entitled Bing Translator, as a convenience to visitors to the DEC website who speak languages other than English.

Negative Declaration

Albany County - The City of Albany Planning Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Brighter Choice Charter School will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the construction of a new three story, 54,000 ± square foot private (charter) middle school and relocated/expanded parking area. The demolition of thirteen (13) vacant residential buildings will also be included in the action. The middle school will be located at 395 Elk Street and the buildings to be demolished are located at 118, 120, 122, 124, 126, 128 and 130 North Lake Avenue; 377, 379, 381, 383, 385, 390, 391 to 398 Elk Street and 237, 239, 241, 243, 249, 251 and 253 Sherman Street. All locations are in the City of Albany, New York.
