ENB - Region 9 Notices 05/19/2010

Negative Declaration

Chautauqua County - The Town of Westfield Town Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Adoption of Local Law No. 2 will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the adoption of a zoning code amendment to create two categories of home occupation - major and minor - the former of which would require a special use permit issued by the Town Board and the latter of which would not require a permit. The law also defines the two categories and sets the standards the Town Board must use to review applications for major home occupation. The project is located throughout the Town of Westfield, New York.

Amended Negative Declaration

Wyoming County - The Village of Castile Village Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Water System Improvement Project will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the amendment of the original Negative Declaration mainly due to age and material of the water mains in the Village of Castile. Originally 19,000 linear feeet of the cast iron water main was going to be replaced with either ductile iron or HPDE water mains. But now, the project has increased in size to 47,000 linear feet of water main replacement. This basically results only in a change of the footage of pipe replacement as all work will continue in the same or similar area of the right-of-way shared by the Town and Village of Castile. The project is located throughout the Village of Castile, New York.
