Negative Declaration

Monroe County - The Town of Parma Planning Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Doug Miller Soccer and Glacier Ridge Snow Tubing will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves site improvements including enlarging the current parking lot and other site modifications, grading for the construction of soccer fields and a snow tube sledding facility. Modification to the existing Federal Wetlands and the storm water management facilities will also be included. The project is located at 4618 Ridge Road West in the Town of Parma, New York.

Steuben County - The New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA), as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Wind Turbine on the Vance Property (Project Number 3156-2) will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the installation of a 10 kW wind turbine atop a 140 foot guyed-tower on the Vance residential property. The project is located at 1891 County Route 5 in Addison, New York.

Yates County - The Town of Italy, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Amendment to the Comprehensive Plan and Amendment of Zoning Law will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves amendments to the town's Comprehensive Plan and Zoning Law to abolish the wind incentive zones and prohibit industrial wind turbine towers throughout the Town of Italy. The project is located throughout the Town of Italy, New York.

Positive Declaration and Public Scoping

Monroe County - The Penfield Town Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Town of Penfield 2010 Comprehensive Plan may have a significant adverse impact on the environment and a Draft Environmental Impact Statement must be prepared. Written comments on the draft scope will be accepted from May 20, 2010 thru June 18, 2010. The action involves the adoption of the Town of Penfield's 2010 Comprehensive Plan which identifies and analyzes anticipated growth and land use changes over the next ten years and provides recommendations for additional regulations and guidelines to properly manage said growth and land use changes throughout the community. The project is located throughout the Town of Penfield, New York.

Wayne County - The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYS DEC), as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Sodus Lime and Stone LLC - Quarry Road may have a significant adverse impact on the environment and a Draft Environmental Impact Statement must be prepared. Written comments on the draft scope will be accepted until June 28, 2010. A public scoping session will be held on June 15, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. at the Sodus Town Hall - Court Room, 14-16 Mill Street, Sodus, NY 14551. The action involves a proposal by the applicant, Sodus Lime and Stone LLC, to construct and operate a new 31 acre hard rock quarry on a 64 acre site on Quarry Road in the Town of Sodus. The site would be mined for both an unconsolidated resource (overburden) and consolidated resource (primarily dolomite) down to an elevation of 340 feet, approximately 70 - 100 feet below current ground elevation. The mine would require dewatering and the groundwater would be discharged to a tributary of Second Creek and existing wetland area located in the northeastern corner of the property. The reclamation proposed would result in a 23 acre water body and open space. The hill to the south will remain as well as the natural vegetative buffers/ and set back areas. The water body reclamation would include safe side slopes. Upland reclamation will include replacement of stockpiled topsoil and reseeding with an approved USDA seed mixture to stabilize banks. Unaffected land will remain agricultural or forested. The project is located just southwest of the Quarry Road and South Geneva Road intersection in the Town of Sodus,New York.
