Project Description:
The applicant proposes to install stream bank stabilization (bendway weirs, vanes, longitudinal peak stone toe protection and vegetative plantings) along approximately 650 feet of severely eroded Cattaraugus Creek bank, which is threatening Creek Road. The project site is located at the facility address listed above, along the Cattaraugus Creek south bank and is approximately 1.75 miles upstream of the Bolton Road Bridge.

State Environmental Quality Review (SEQR) Determination:
Project is an Unlisted Action and will not have a significant impact on the environment. A Negative Declaration is on file. A coordinated review was not performed.
SEQR Lead Agency: None Designated
State Historic Preservation Act (SHPA) Determination:
A Structural-Archaeological Assessment Form has been completed. The proposed activity will not impact on registered, eligible or inventoried archaeological sites or historic structures.
Coastal Management:
This project is not located in a Coastal Management area and is not subject to the Waterfront Revitalization and Coastal Resources Act.
Opportunity for Public Comment:

Project Description:
Removal of approximately 1,275 cubic yards (340 linear feet) of sediment from under the Burroughs Road Bridge (owned and maintained by Wyoming County Highway Department) located on Cayuga Creek in the Town of Bennington. The project will include approximately 125 feet of bank stabilization using medium riprap and on-site stone. A rock vane will be installed to help direct flows under the bridge.
