Negative Declaration

Sullivan County - The Town of Bethel Town Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Adoption of Local Law #2 of 2010, will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves Adoption of Local Law #2 of 2010 to amend the Town of Bethel Code Chapter 345. The project is located in the Town of Bethel, White Lake, New York 12786.

Westchester County - The City of Peekskill Planning Commission, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed 113 North Division Street will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the construction of three art lofts and two ground floor commercial spaces in an existing dilapidated building in the Downtown Peekskill Historic District (on the National Register). The project is located at 113 North Division Street, Peekskill, New York.

Notice of Acceptance of Draft EIS and Public Hearing

Rockland County - The Town Board of the Town of Ramapo, as lead agency, has accepted a Draft Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Grand Slam Ball Field. A public hearing on the Draft EIS will be held on May 6, 2010 at 8:00 p.m. at the Ramapo Town Hall, 237 Route 59, Suffern, New York 10901. Written comments on the Draft EIS will be accepted until 4:30 p.m. on May 19, 2010. A copy of the Draft EIS may be obtained from Christian G. Sampson, 237 Route 59, Suffern, New York 10901, (845) 357-5100. It is also available online at: www.ramapo.org. The action involves the construction of a recreation facility for the Town of Ramapo, on a 61.23 acre Town owned parcel which will serve as the home field for a minor league baseball team and for Town events after the season. The ball field will provide seating for 3,500 fans, 900 parking spaces, accessory uses such as training and workout spaces and will conform to the zoning bulk restrictions of the Laboratory Office (LO) zone. The project is located at the northwest corner of the intersection of Fireman's Memorial Drive and Pomona Road, Ramapo, New York.

Westchester County - The Town of Cortlandt Planning Board, as lead agency, has accepted a Draft Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Hersh Plaza. A public hearing on the Draft EIS will be held on May 4, 2010 at 8:00 p.m. at the Town of Cortlandt, Town Hall, 1 Heady Street, Cortlandt Manor, NY 10567. Written comments on the Draft EIS will be accepted until May 14, 2010 (unless extended by the Planning Board). Copies of the Draft EIS are available for review during regular working hours from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, except holidays, in the Planning Division Office of the Department of Technical Services, Cortlandt Town Hall, 1 Heady Street, Cortlandt Manor, New York. A copy of the Draft EIS is also available for review at the John C. Hart Memorial Library, 1130 Main Street, Shrub Oak, NY 10588. The online version of the Draft EIS is available at the following publically accessible web site: www.townofcortlandt.com. The action involves the development of two retail/office buildings totaling approximately 27,400 square feet and other related site improvements on a 2.446 acre parcel. The project is located on Route 6 (Intersection of Jacobs Hill Road) in the Town of Cortlandt, New York.
