Project Description:

The department has tentatively determined to modify SPDES permit number NY0000132 by adjusting effluent limitation, related footnotes and monitoring requirements at outfall 002 to reflect current conditions (elimination of most casthouse wastewaters and request to use an algaecide containing copper); addition of new generic permit requirements; updating PCS requirements; deletion of outfall 01B; and clarification of related condition to reflect updated cyanide and phenols sampling requirements. The draft permit is available in the Region 6 NYSDEC office in Watertown, NY.

Availability of Application Documents:

Filed application documents, and Department draft permits where applicable, are available for inspection during normal business hours at the address of the contact person. To ensure timely service at the time of inspection, it is recommended that an appointment be made with the contact person.

State Environmental Quality Review (SEQR) Determination:

Project is not subject to SEQR because it is a Type II action.

Project Description:

The applicant proposes to install approxmately 400' of rip rap streambank stabilization at their property bordering the Aurthur Hicks property on Big Sucker Brook, in the Village of Waddington. The site is further located approximately 400' east of NYS Route 345 on the north shore of Big Sucker Brook. The purpose of the project is to prevent further streambank erosion.
