Applicant proposes to replace existing 90' concrete fishing pier with 80' floating dock, as well as install floating dock extension of 44' to existing 34' floating dock, and 34' floating extension to existing 48' floating dock; as well as 8' concrete extension to boat ramp to accomodate longer craft. Work is at Oneida Shores Park within Oneida Lake, Town of Cicero.

State Environmental Quality Review (SEQR) Determination:

Project is a Type I action and will not have a significant effect on the environment. A coordinated review with other agencies was performed and a Negative Declaration is on file.

SEQR Lead Agency: Onondaga County

State Historic Preservation Act (SHPA) Determination:

A cultural resources survey has been completed. The report of the survey is on file. No archaeological sites or historic structures were identified at the project location. No further review in accordance with SHPA is required.

Coastal Management:

This project is not located in a Coastal Management area and is not subject to the Waterfront Revitalization and Coastal Resources Act.

Opportunity for Public Comment:

Comments on this project must be submitted in writing to the Contact Person no later than Mar 18, 2010.

Project Description:

The Department has made a tentative determination to modify the existing permit for a discharge of treated sanitary wastewater from the Penn Can Truck Stop & Restaurant's existing package plant to Tributary 1 of Little Bay Creek. The Environmental Benefit Permit Strategy modification includes removal of chlorination requirements, new parameters of monitoring and sampling for dissolved oxygen and oil & grease, and new seasonal monitoring and sampling of ammonia as NH3. The draft permit and fact sheet are available for review in the Syracsue Office.
