Positive Declaration and Public Scoping

Suffolk County - Suffolk County, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Suffolk County Legacy Village Agreement of Sale and Mixed Use Development may have a significant adverse impact on the environment and a Draft Environmental Impact Statement must be prepared. A public scoping session will be held on March 16, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. at the Riverhead County Center, Legislative Auditorium, 210 Center Drive, Riverhead, New York. The action involves the declaration as surplus and the subsequent sale of 255 + acres of county owned land for mixed use development purposes. The project is located in the vicinity of Yaphank Avenue, south of the Long Island Expressway, Yaphank, Town of Brookhaven, New York.
