The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYS DEC) has received three (3) Brownfield Cleanup Program (BCP) applications from GM Components Holdings, LLC for the following sites known as: GM Components Holdings, LLC Building 7, site ID #C932138, GM Components Holdings, LLC Building 8, site ID #C932139, and GM Components Holdings, LLC Building 10, site ID #C932140. These sites are located in the City of Lockport, Municipality of Lockport, within the County of Niagara, and are located at 200 Upper Mountain Road.
Comments regarding these three applications must be submitted no later than March 12, 2010.

Chautauqua County - The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYS DEC), as lead agency, has determined that the McCutcheon Pit proposed by James Eimers will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the mining of sand and gravel and material processing on 5.0 acres of land on a 135.2 acre parcel. The reclamation objective is to vineyard. The project is located approximately 2,400 feet south of Old Route 20, with its haul road accessing Old Route 20, in the Town of Ripley, New York.

Notice of Acceptance of Final EIS
Erie County - The New York State Empire Development Corporation, as lead agency, has accepted a Final Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Canal Side Project. A hard copy of the Final EIS is available at the following locations: for Erie Canal Harbor Development Corporation (ECHDC), 95 Perry Street, Buffalo, NY 14203 and the Buffalo & Erie County Public Library, Central Branch, Lafayette Square, Buffalo, NY 14203. The action involves $294 million in public/private investment to develop 1,104,800 square feet of commercial (retail, lodging, office), cultural and residential space. The project area would be designed to emphasize downtown Buffalo's connection to the Lake Erie waterfront through the construction of a network of interpretive elements evoking the character and vibrancy of historic canals that once crossed the area including segments of the Erie Canal, the Commercial Slip and the Prime Slip. Anchored by a Bass Pro Outdoor World store, the proposed project would provide various year-round offerings and experiences including restaurant, entertainment venues, retail outlets, cultural attractions, public spaces and increased access to the Buffalo River.
Parking in the project area would be consolidated within several parking garages, with a few small surface lots and a limited number of on-street parking option also available. In total, 2,476 parking spaces would be provided within the project area. The project is located at the foot of Main Street in the City of Buffalo, New York.
