Project Description:

The proposed project consists of the replacement of a 310'x14' section of an existing, dilapidated 490' long dock. The deck and concrete cap will be removed and the 14 rock filled timber cribs will remain. Six inch diameter piles will be driven approximately every 20' on the outside of the existing dock footprint. A new 310'x14' timber deck with staving will be installed. The removed concrete will be disposed of at an approved upland location.

Project Description:

The department has made a tentative determination to approve an application for the intermittent discharge of up to 0.50 million gallons per day of treated mine dewatering and stormwater to an intermittent drainage course tributary to Beaver Meadows and Mill Creek, from Arsenal Stone Quarry, located in the Town of Hounsfield, Jefferson County, where the applicant mines and processes limestone. In addition, the applicant proposes to add 14 acres to the currently approved 20 acre quarry, for a new life of mine area of 34 acres. Site processing includes: blasting, excavation, hauling, crushing, screening and trucking of material to market locations. Mining below the water table is proposed. The quarry is located 1,800' west of Old Rome State Road, 1,600' south of NYS Route 3, approximately 3.5 miles west of the City of Watertown.

Project Description:

Operate docking/mooring facility for existing campground tenants and visitors. Perimeter consists of 55,454 square feet (1631 linear feet of shoreline x length of docks plus 10' travel lane) with a total of 45 docks (2' x 24'). All docks are seasonal, either on wheels or constructed on 2" pipes. Docks will be arranged such that 37 docks will be west of a 60' beach area and an additional 8 docks will be east of the beach area.
