The applicant proposes to dredge a 30 foot by 40 foot area of the Great South Bay near the end of an existing pier to a depth of -3 feet below low tide level to restore water depths. This area is categorized as shoals and mudflats, and littoral zone (SM/LZ). The project is located immediately south of Shore Walk (Casino Walk) in Atlantique, Fire Island, Town of Islip, Suffolk County.
