Project Description:
The applicant proposes to place approximately 350 linear feet of heavy rock rip-rap along the south bank of Angelica Creek to protect the banks from erosion. Existing gravel bars will be skimmed to a depth not to exceed 6 inches above the low-flow water level, with the material used to shape banks and as a bedding material for the rip-rap. The project is located on the east/upstream side of Closser Avenue Bridge in the Village of Angelica.

A graded mine face accounts for 0.75 acres of the increase and the remaining 0.7 acres is for a stockpile area. No other changes, including the agricultural reclamation objective, are proposed. The location is north of Youngs Road and west of NYS Route 62 with the mine entrance on Youngs Rd.
