Project Description:

This department has received a request to modify an existing permit and has drafted an Article 19(Air Pollution Control) of the Environmental Conservation Law, an Air State Facility Permit at the facility located at Burrows Paper - Mohawk Valley Division, 489 W Main St., Little Falls, NY 13365. The facility is located between State Route 5 and the CSX railroad tracks, approximately 1000 feet northwest of the Mohawk River. The facility has one paper machine that produces approximately 35 tons of tissue paper per day. The facility has one steam boiler that fires natural gas. The facility is minor for the following pollutants which includes NOx, CO, and PM. The facility is capped under Part 201-7 for VOCs, total HAPs, and various individual HAPs. The draft permit with conditions is available for review in the Region 6 NYS DEC office in Watertown, NY.

The proposed project is to dredge approximately 350CY of material from around a privately owned boathouse and dock and an approach channel in Lake of the Isles. The area to be dredged surrounding the dock and boathouse will be 40'x80' and the approach channel will be 100'x25'. Dredge spoils will be removed from the site to an approved upland location.

Project Description:

The DEC has received a request to issue a permit modification and has drafted an Article 19 (Air Pollution Control) of the Environmental Conservation Law, Air State Facility Permit, for the facility located at Barrett Paving Pamelia Quarry, 26572 St. Rt. 37, Pamelia, NY, 13601. The department has made a tentative determination to approve the modification application of the Barrett Paving Pamelia Quarry facility, a crushed stone and asphalt production facility. The purpose of this modification is to replace existing hot mix parallel flow drum plant with a hot mix counterflow drum plant. A new baghouse is also being added to control particulate emissions. The ASF permit allows the operation of Emission units 1-PLANT, 2-STONE, and 3-SCREE, which includes asphalt production including waste oil as a fuel, crushing and screening of stone including temporary portable operations, diesel generator operation, and exempt and trivial sources. The facility has capped out of Title V, and NOx RACT. Permitting requirements by tracking and restricting its facility emissions of particulate matter less than 10 microns in diameter (PM-10), oxides of nitrogen (NOx), and carbon monoxide (CO) below 95 tons per year. The draft permit with conditions is available for review in the Region 6 NYS DEC office in Watertown, NY.
